I teleconferenced with my dad last night to make sure that my slingbox is up and running since football season starts tomorrow, and Utah is playing Oregon State on the mtn. All systems are go. Of course my mom isn't exactly thrilled that her tv is about to get hi-jacked, but she's historically been pretty good about sharing.
BYU is opening at home with Arizona, and although I usually make it home for the season opener, this year I saw that it wasn't going to happen and decided to make that camping trip to Zion instead to make up for it. I had some last minute regrets and considered rethinking the decision to skip the game, but I determined that it wasn't financially in my best interest to do so.
The unfortunate aspect of this fb season is that I'm back in school. Although I intentionally rearranged my schedule so as to not interfere with game days, I've discovered that I'm going to have to buckle down and do an immense amount of reading within the next few weeks, or my trip to Mexico is going to cost me my 4.0. It's the online class I fear the most. The whole class is based on three tests, that cover hundreds of pages of text book reading. Which means I'm actually going to have to do hundreds of pages of text book reading in order to get test 1 out of the way prior to departure. It's not that I'm not capable, I just sense that I wouldn't necessarily be categorized as the most on the ball student when it comes to test preparation. I got a bachelors in last minute cramming at BYU. I didn't even buy textbooks at BYU because it became apparent to me that I was wasting my money since I never got around to reading them. It hasn't really gone that way since returning to school. I've had to purchase each and every single required textbook. I think it's because the teachers are lawyers, and don't know how to lecture effectively.
One of these teachers is a very nice guy. (I think it's worth mentioning that he has a very distinct tan line on his forehead. He's got a receding hairline and apparently wore something on the top of his head...perhaps a bandana...that has left a very visible line across his head. Sort of unfortunate since he seems to have gotten a lot of sun that day.) He kind of sucks as a teacher, he just spurts out facts in a seemingly random fashion. Although no one could ever fault him for lacking enthusiasm, there really doesn't seem to be a whole lot of structure to his "lectures." He's a public prosecutor, so he kind of makes up for it with some really fascinating stories.

Are you going to share your sling box will anyone from the east coast? I would love to see my team play...since I don't get MTN.
Also what is this school business...please fill in the gaps.
I can't share the slingbox. It can only be accessed in one location. If I decide not to use it though, you'll be the first to know.
I take night classes at Cerritos.
I don't know why she's being all cryptic. She's taking courses to potentially become a paralegal.
Well I believe that Julia wants to remain mysterious, hence the name of her blog ... everyone likes attention.
Great news about you getting another degree/certificate.
Well I'm thinking about not finishing which has everyone else in a panic, but it's really my call.
