What I wouldn't give...

I finally went to the doctor yesterday. The air in Orange County seemed a lot worse to me yesterday. Everything was hazy and there was quite a bit of ash. By the time I got to the doctor's office I was having something of a coughing fit. The doctor told me that I'm not quite over the cold yet, and the condition has been aggravated by an allergic reaction I am experiencing to the pollution. She said that it has left me temporarily asthmatic, wrote me out a prescription for an inhaler, gave me some sample drugs, and sent me on my way. I went home, got distracted and never made it over to the pharmacy to actually get the inhaler. Things had kind of cleared up by the evening though, so I didn't think it would be a big deal. Unbeknownest to me another fire has started out by Camp Pendelton and all of that smoke and ash is blowing right up around where I work. So it's been another day of stinging eyes, and restricted breathing. I'm definitely going to get that prescription filled tonight. Here are pictures I took while driving in this morning:
You can see that thin little strip of blue sky in these pictures. That's gone now. Everything has a weirdish orange tint to it. Right now there is nothing that I crave more than just a few breaths of really clean fresh air.

On an unrelated note I got to work this morning and I had an email waiting for me when I got to work this morning from Steve:

"Andrew just told Philip a story about how he dated a girl that braided all of his hair...not cornrows, just braided. I kinda wish I could see that, but only very briefly."

Now I kind of wish I hadn't called in sick yesterday.
