Death Valley

I went camping in Death Valley this weekend. I'll be honest, I had some pretty low expectations, and they were pretty much exceeded. Here are some of the pictures:

These first shots were taken at Badwater Basin, the lowest spot in the Western Hemisphere.

That little sign up there marks sealevel.

I got roped into playing a game with Krista to see who could hold their arms out straight the longest. I did win out, but I had to hold my arms out like that for...well I don't really know how long, but they did start to burn, and were feeling a little stiff the next day.
Just a shot back at the hillside from the basin.This is me at the bottom of Darwin Falls. This little outfit was a casualty of the camping trip. I got distracted and walked off and left them hanging on a hook in the bathroom where I had changed clothes. I'm a little bummed out because they're some of my favorite pants. Which is probably kind of obvious since I have a lot of pictures of me wearing these pants. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, at least I still have the green pair.
