The Delta Devils

Well I knew better, but at the last minute yesterday I secured a ticket to the NCAA playoff game in Anaheim, and went to watch the boys play Texas A&M. It did not end well. Sprackets sent me a text message today and told me to please stop attending games, because I seem to be jinxing them. I don't really feel like discussing that aspect of the event any further.

After that game UCLA came out and played some school called Mississippi Valley State University. We decided to hang out and watch some of that game too...might as well since we were already there. Besides that, John has advised me that sometimes after BYU loses you need to just go watch a game that means nothing, just to restore your love of the game.

So there I was sitting next to DDD chatting about how my life seems to have fallen into a perpetual state of transition, when I spotted the MVSU cheerleaders. Let me tell you people, those cheerleaders were captivating. I thought they were a pretty decent looking group of girls, just a little meatier than I was anticipating. In fact, I realized right off the bat that we weren't going to be seeing any arial stunts out of that group. How much do I wish that I had a video camera with me. The best description I can offer is to picture an aerobics class with pom-poms. It was awesome.

At no point in time was I able to ascertain what purpose the lone male cheerleader served. He did have a few moves, which he put to use at seemingly random intervals. Every now and again he would do the little aerobic moves with the female cheerleaders, but he had to keep a close eye on the lead cheerleader (whose enthusiam made her my personal favorite) or else he'd get way off.

I found this picture of one of the cheerleaders online, but I remember her, because she was the only one out there that didn't fit the physical description I just offered. I figured I'd post it anyway, so at least you'd get an idea of what the pom poms looked like.
I wish their basketball team had done better, because those cheerleaders made me a fan of MVSU for life. Go Delta Devils!!!!
