Simon & Simon

My favorite TV show is Simon & Simon. It comes on every morning at 4am on the Sleuth channel. I tivo it so I won't have to get up at 4am to watch it, but frankly I'd probably be better off just going that route. At least that way I would be limited to one episode at a time. As it is I waste many valuable sleep hours staying up late watching multiple episodes in one night, and then suffer the following morning when I'm trying to drag out of bed. I'm completely addicted to that show. I've started to wonder if it's affecting my perception of reality. For instance during a very interesting episode the other night about a stolen horse I found myself wondering if maybe I should be a private investigator. I was seriously thinking that it looked like a great life. I mean those two seem to do a fair amount of interesting undercover work. Although there was that episode where they had to go hang out at the nudist colony... Anyhow, the pay must be pretty good since Rick & AJ are always telling people in distress that they might not be able to afford to hire Simon & Simon Investigations. I think it's affected my idea of what San Diego is like too. I've thought about moving to San Diego, and the last two or three months the idea has started to seem more and more appealing. I've been trying to decide how much of that I should attribute to the fact that Rick & AJ live in San Diego, and therefore it seems like a cool place to live. Out of all of this I'm certain of one thing, I shouldn't watch TV when I'm so sleep deprived that I can't think straight, and find myself ridiculously susceptible to the power of suggestion. At least it's Simon & Simon I'm watching at 2 and 3 am, and not Sex in the City or something...
