There's not really much going on at work these days. As in, not much work to do. I know I've mentioned this several times. It's been boring, but kind of nice in a way because I've been able to get a lot of studying and homework done at work, my job right now is to appear to be busy. I've noticed some side effects though, first of all so long as I get her by 9:30 it's not a problem, since the executives don't tend to roll through until after 10. So for the past little while I've been getting here at 9:20, 9:30ish. My boss and the director both cut out early every day too. They usually give me the green light to leave around 4:30, unless I actually have something to do, and then I'm expected to stay until I've put in a solid 8 hours. So it's nice, but it's also made me kind of spoiled. So spoiled in fact, that I'm afraid I'm forgetting how to do my job. We had a project that was resubmitted the other day, and since I was the one that worked on the original they sent it back to me. I tried to load it off on Steve, but he refused to take it. I think it took me twice as long to get organized and figure out what needed to be done as it normally does. Unless I get another big one to work on sometime in the next few months I might not know what's going on when we kick back into high gear again.
In the meantime I'm sitting here eating cheesecake, updating the blog, cruising the internet, and waiting for my boss to decide that we've made enough of an appearance and it's time to call it a day. It's gotten really quiet, so I'm pretty sure that the entire underwriting department has already left. I've never had a job that had so much down time before, it's really kind of weird.
