Video blogging

Tricia was in town yesterday, and spent the night at my house. Over dinner she started telling me about this little project she had undertaken before meeting her husband. I have no idea why this is the first I heard of this, but apparently she was creating a dating video. Prior to every date she went on she would video tape herself standing in front of the camera talking about the guy, how they met, her impressions of him, etc. Then after the date was over she would tape herself giving a follow-up of how the date went. She recently showed this video to her husband, who according to Trish, expressed embarrassment for her during the first few segments. She said that intially she was very stiff and awkward in front of the camera. After a while she got used to talking to her camera and she said it becomes quality entertainment. I guess one of the more amusing entries is one where the camera is situated in such a manner that it cuts off the top of her head.

Tricia was suggesting this to me, because she thinks I should do something similar and post the videos on my blog. I have to admit that it sounds hilarious, I have only two concerns. 1. This kind of thing could wind up being really embarrassing. 2. Heaven forbid that one of the dates ever find out about this blog. I have at least one date this weekend...so the question is, does the potential entertainment value of this kind of project outweigh the possibility for humiliation? I'm welcoming any and all input on this one.

I picked up one of those iflip cameras to do something similar . .not so much before and after . . but more of a video breakdown of the date.
