I finished up training on Saturday. I have to admit that I'm even a little bit impressed with myself that I was able to pull it off. All the back and forth has made me question my sanity a little. Especially with me now laying down $4.50/gallon at the pumps. Either way, I'm done. I just have to get fingerprinted, and once they've confirmed that I'm not a criminal I can start signing up for shifts. I'm actually really excited about it.
I was feeling pretty burned out this week, so I called the friend I'm going to be crashing with down there and asked if I could stay with him this weekend. Besides that, I wanted to go to church in San Diego so I can start to branch out and meet some other people. If I'm going to be spending a minimum of 24 hours/month down there for who knows how long, I need to develop some kind of social network in the area. One weekend down there and I've decided that my ward is an unfriendly ward. It was ridiculously easy to meet people in San Diego. So maybe Simon & Simon isn't the only reason why I like San Diego after all.
