Espanol
I'm trying to make the best of all the downtime at work right now, so I have started listening to some little podcasts that are supposed to teach me to speak Spanish. Despite the fact that I took Spanish for two years at BYU, and actually do a pretty decent job of understanding it, I decided to start at the very beginning. First of all the lady on the podcast has such a bad accent that I'm not at all convinced that she actually knows how to speak Spanish. I think she's just reading it. So far the lessons have been ultra-remedial. Today I learned how to conjugate -er and -ir verbs. On the bright side it also covered some vocabulary, and I had forgotten how to say "Russian" in Spanish, so I can't say I didn't learn anything. Maybe by the time they lay me off I'll be writing all of my blog posts in espanol.
