Mending Fences

I watched the game with Speck this weekend. He told me that I could only come over and watch on his huge TV if I promised to be on my best behavior (i.e. don't say things about the utes that will cause him to get so angry that he swears at me, or asks me to leave his house). I told him that I felt like I could manage that, so I headed over to watch.

Speck is far more tolerant of BYU than I am of his beloved utes. I wouldn't mind seeing them get trounced every weekend, regardless of who they play. Speck on the other hand is all about "what's good for the conference." So he didn't seem to mind letting me sit there watching every minute of a 59-0 shutout game, although I think he was getting kind of bored with it by half-time.

I miss talking about football with Speck, so I'm glad the UCLA game served me well as an opportunity to try and work back into his good graces. I managed to go the whole day without making any disparaging remarks about utah. Although, I couldn't exactly bring myself to say anything nice about them either. No point in getting too carried away with things.

That game was cool...my hubs was sure happy. I wish the Aggies could win a game -- I might be more inclined to smile!! I just worry about that score coming out on the USU-BYU game!

By the way -- how are you? How is SART going?
