Church on TV

I'm a big fan of General Conference weekend. It's nice to get the little pep-talks from church leaders, and I get to sit around in the comfort of my own home and watch them on TV. I can lounge back in my pajamas and eat food while I listen, or even pause the TV to get up and do something in another room for a while if I want. I love it.

This Saturday was no exception. I got up early to tivo the morning session and then went back to bed. My roommate and I had been out late the night before so I was pretty wiped out and managed to sleep until the second session was starting. Ridiculous I know, and I should probably be embarrassed to admit to that, but I'm not. After the second session we watched the tivoed morning session.

Once conference was over the roommate left for a while, and I took over the TV. I was flipping around watching a couple of football games. Around 8 or 9 at night and I was feeling very lazy and cooped up and it was getting late, so I had to do something semi-productive. I went upstairs and recruited my roommate to go walking with me. She agreed, and I told her that I would just need a few minutes to change out of my pajamas and put on some real clothes. Her response to that went something along the lines of, "JULIA! You're still in your pajamas?! You never even left the house today did you?" That would be a "no." However, we did walk down to the beach and past the bridge by the Hyatt, so I figure that made up for a lot of loafing around in front of the TV.

Sunday I did get up early, showered, wore real clothes, and went to a conference breakfast and a birthday party at other people's homes.
