Halloween

I decided to buy a new Halloween costume this year, but after a few minutes of perusing options online I reached the conclusion that Halloween is the national slutty holiday. So instead I shifted gears a bit and decided to make my own costume. I decided to be an Indian, and I had something really simple in mind. Somewhere in there it became more elaborate, which is not to say that my costume was particularly elaborate. However, Meredith and I found a pattern, and some material that I liked, and I sewed together the dress from the pattern in just a few minutes. Unfortunately this was the result:Because the idea was to be an Indian, and not a tent, I determined that this item was not going to work for me. So I had Meredith take that picture above, and I looked it over for a day or two. Then I got to work, made a few alterations which produced this result:
The final product included a bit more fringe, a matching purse, and then I did some beading and created the feathered headband, and this was the final result:
I wore it to a yacht cruise party in San Diego. Here is my favorte picture from the event:
