Silverware

First, before I tell you about my missing silverware, let me apologize for not providing the promised photo of my bruised finger that I know you are all dying to see. For some reason my iphone is not cooperating with me, and refuses to deliver it. Moving on...

I used to have some Ikea silverware that I was very fond of. I can't say it's particularly high class, or even sort of expensive, but regardless, I liked it. It had these clear blue plastic handles with little air bubbles in the plastic that I liked to look at.

The other night I went to get a knife out of the drawer, and there were no clean knives in the silverware drawer. Since I had just unloaded the dishwasher the night before this seemed particularly odd, and that's when I noticed that all of my Ikea silverware is gone. Not a single fork remains. At first I thought perhaps the housekeeper stuck it somewhere weird the last time she was over. I searched through every drawer and cupboard in the kitchen, and now I have resigned myself to the reality that my favorite Ikea silverware is gone.

All I have left is one spoon that I keep at work. Needless to say, I am not pleased. I questioned both of my roommates, and neither of them know anything about the disappearance of my silverware. The only other person who might know would be the housekeeper. I feel very confident in saying that the silverware is no longer in my kitchen. However, it's not as though that silverware set is the nicest thing in our home, and certainly not the most valuable. My roommate claims that our housekeeper is very honest and would never steal my Ikea silverware, which I tend to believe. I mean really, why would anyone steal such a thing. However, the fact remains that my favorite silverware is gone, and I don't know how that happened, but I'm not very happy about it, especially since it would seem that Ikea has discontinued the production of that particular type of silverware. Apparently it's irreplaceable.
