Boat Parade

I always hear about the boat parade in Newport Beach, and I always decline any invitations to go. Too cold. This year the ward organized a little dating activity to go see the boats. Cold or not, I can't spend another evening in the house, so I signed up. I'm glad I did. Although I'm not sure what was more fascinating, the decorations all over the yachts, or the yachts themselves. Some of those boats were enormous. It was freezing cold, and I wish that I had two D batteries on hand so that I could have worn my battery heated socks. It would have made the experience that much more enjoyable to have had warm toes while I watched. Still, I have to say, the boat parade really is just as cool as they've been telling me for years.
