The Colony

The new seating at work has all of the people leaving at the end of the year sitting together in what we now call "the colony." It's a sad little corner of the building. There aren't even lights hooked up over there yet. However, the good news is that my boss came cruising over to let me know that from now on there is no need to wear work clothes because it's an isolated area, and that he would just like us to show up to work, check our email, make sure there's nothing to be done, and then we are free to go, and will get paid for the day. So in essence, I guess I'm not really working for the rest of this month. Pretty great really, although I hardly know what to do with myself. I've never had this kind of free time before. If anyone reading this has either a Disneyland pass or a zoo pass, and can get a day of work, let me know. I'm free...pretty much anytime this month.

Honestly, I don't know you manage to fall into these situations. I swear, I would kill for a paid day of doing nothing right about now.
