My team has been restored to me. My QB that was struggling earlier in the preseason put in an impressive showing in his last game, and the RB with the ankle sprain appears to have secured the starting position. However, there's some bad news too. Two of my top receivers are nursing injuries right now. One of them has an unspecified ankle problem, and is a questionable start fo the next preseason game, but should be fine for the regular season. The other WR is recovering from knee surgery and has "swelling" which makes him a questionable start for the regular season. I guess I know what I'm going to be fasting for this Sunday. ;)
On an unrelated note, I saw something that kind of cracked me up on ESPN this morning. I turned on the TV to watch Sportscenter while getting ready. Only this morning they were having a special thing on Michael Vick instead, since he entered his guilty plea today. So while they're waiting for Michael to come out and make his little statement to the press (which I thought was very well executed) ESPN had two black guys arguing with two white guys about whether or not race was a factor. The debate was just getting really interesting when all of the sudden they cut out to give us a live update of the empty podium where Michael will be making his statement. This is a good 10 minutes before Vick comes out. So we've been yanked away from a very engaging debate to stare at a shot of an empty podium. There isn't a person in sight. Just a blank wall and the top of a podium. Very strange.
