Happy Birthday Jared!

Before Sarah met Jared I always figured that she'd wind up married to some stuffy corporate guy. Really I should have known better, it's just not her style. She hates work, why would she want to marry someone who reminded her of work? So instead she married this guy:

I've decided to take a moment today and post a few reasons why I'm fond of Jared. Anyone who wants to add to the list, throw a few in the comments section.

1. He makes Sarah happy.

2. He made me four little wood blocks that I put my bed on, so that I can store a bunch of junk under there.

3. He makes a big effort to be part of the family, and all the brothers like him for it. Even Cousin Glen thinks Sarah did well for herself.

4. Unlike his wife, he is not afraid to ask questions, which means I don't have to do that for her anymore.

5. He's hard to embarrass. He doesn't even try and stop Sarah from telling us about his freak out in the delivery room.

6. When he was installing cable he defied requests to remove his BYU hat before entering ute homes.

7. Even when I am the third wheel, or sometimes a fifth, he makes sure I don't feel like it.

8. He has not stifled Sarah, it's possible she's even more interesting now.

9. I'm not sure there's anyone else I know who would walk around outside of a soldout movie shouting "does anyone have a ticket for the 12:30 imax movie for sale?" with me trailing along behind him, kind of keeping my distance, until he found me a ticket. At a bargain price too.

10. He persists in being a thoughtful person, even when people are not particularly thoughtful in return.
