There were supposed to be words to go along with that last post, but I guess they got lost somewhere out there in cyberspace. No matter, they probably weren't all that interesting anyway, and a picture is worth a thousand words.
However, this last trip home was not so much about football. I wanted to be there for Andrew's mission farewell talk on Sunday. Turns out Andrew's really a good speaker, something that I had not previously suspected. It's not like I thought he was going to embarrass himself, and everyone there that had to claim him as a blood relative, I just didn't expect his talk to be as good as it was. It was really good.
After church we had a family dinner at the house. Since I've given up on going to the family reunion, it was nice to catch up with some of the relatives that were there. It's fascinating the things that can go on that you don't hear about when you're not around. People move, marry, graduate, have more kids, etc. and I remain blissfully ignorant to all of these goings on.
Of course it was nice seeing all the family, but I'm especially glad I got to see Andrew again before he leaves.

I totally agree- Andrew's talk was awesome. It still is hard for me to believe that when John and I got married he was this little 11 year old(he was still in primary-YIKES!!). Wow how time flies!
